Tire advice?

I had a blowout Saturday evening and have to get a new tire. Due to the AWD and ACD, I'm pretty sure I can't get just one tire. Can I buy just 2 new tires and put them both on front side or both on backside? Or do I have to buy all 4?

I was driving a steady 80mph when this happened. I suddenly heard some flopping and felt the rearend get a little squirrely. I pulled over and the tire was sitting next to my car off the rim. And from it flopping around, it spun on my rear bumper and melted it. It bent the inside of the fender lip a little, but that's an easy fix. There appears to be no physical damage to the rim, but I'm still gonna take it into a tire place to make sure its not warped.

I like the Falken Azenis 615. I use them in the summer and I have winter tires waiting for me Also look at the new Nitto and Toyo

No, it wasn't low on air. I checked approx. 40 miles before this happened. These were not stock tires. Just all season performance directionals. I would love to buy summer tires, but this a DD, including the winter. They have a little less than 20k miles on them. But can I just buy 1 or 2 new tires?

Yes, buy two of the same variety and place the new ones on the same axle.

Since you're from IL, do you drive your Evo in the winter or do you park it? If you do drive it in the winter, I recommend some All Season performance tire. I got the Bridgestone RE960 AS and I think they're a great all around tire.

If it's just your summer car, then probably some other performance tire.

By the way, what kind of tire is that?
