NEED HELP!!!! Coilovers from hell...video inside

these noises are being made by my front driver's side coilover. Buddy Club racing spec coilovers. the creaking noise is coming from the top mount, the popping, clunking noise seems to be coming from the spring/shock body. you can feel it through the floor, the clutch peddle, the brake peddle, and the acclerator. the noise never stops. it's all the time, every time i drive. anybody know what it is, or how to stop it?

REALLY LOOKING FOR HELP FROM THE PROS... ROBI, MULLER, ETC... please help!!!! thanks.

damn dude, that sounds f**ked up. Do some troubleshooting, if you have a friend with coilovers swap the suspected one out and see if they noise is still there. If it goes away then you know that coilover is f**ked. If you still here the noise then its something else thats loose.

i've done everything i can think of. i've checked the spring perch to make sure it's tight, greased everything in sight, tightened every bolt, you name it, i've done it. it's extremely annoying. i don't even like driving the car sometimes because it's gotten so bad.

Who did the install? Does the popping/clunking only happen when you turn the wheel, or does it just happen all the time? Does your exhaust fit properly (no rubbing)?

it's coming from the front driver's side coilover...what could that possibly have to do with the exhaust? it happens all the time. the creaking is coming from the top mount when the wheel is turned in any direction because the top mount binds up, and when you turn it, it breaks loose...i know what that is, dunno how to stop it. the popping and clunking happens anytime the suspension compresses, and then rebounds. dunno why that is, or how to stop it.

Seems like you have it under control then, good luck with that.

These may help.

The spherical bearings in your camber plates might just be old and busted. Or new and crappy.

swap corners with the coilovers and see if it still does the same thing. inspect the coilovers before reinstalling them also. may be a problem with the top hats.

it sounds maybe like the sway bar bushings may be reeally dry.

yeah i'm thinking that's what the problem is. i dont want to just put a bandaid on the problem though. if the problem is the bearings, i'll just get them replaced. i'm trying to find stock 06 MR suspension right now. im just gonna put that back on the car, then send the coilovers back to buddy club for a rebuild. that should fix all the problems.
