need advice on suspension

is there a big differance between gsr and mr? can you tell any differance?
or should i just go aftermarket? for evo VIII btw

Yes, there is a noticeable difference. A daily driver will do fine with either suspension. Either suspension will work fine for "spirited back roads driving", "mountain runs", "taking corners fast" and "keeping the body as flat as possible" as well.

I upgraded my stock VIII suspension for MR Bilsteins and I could tell a difference within 10ft of driving the car. They ride MUCH better than the KYB's the GSR comes with. It is still stiff don't get me wrong, but a lot better.
Expect to pay a good amount for them though, I paid $800 for the set a little over a year ago. They had lees than a 1K on them.

mr setup with 25mm swaybar set to the stiffest, rear trailing arm bushing, and a good alignment will make that car ride on rails..
