Depends on what ya want and are looking for. just want it to sit lower then springs are cheaper but if you want a overall better suspension set up its probably best to invest in coilovers that you can adjust.

Evos come from the factory with "coilovers" but here's your answer anyway.

ROBISPEC tuned Clubsport suspension was THE best mod I ever did! I would NEVER allow anyone who does not specialize in suspensions touch mine, as it's very easy to end up with a worse than stock suspension. This guy is the BEST!

If your only looking for looks the springs will do fine. But if your looking to improve the handling on your car coilovers and a rear sway bar is the only way to go. I recently just put the Megan tracks and for the money I couldn't be happier with them.

What kind of driving do you do? Any track days or auto-x? Just street driving?

Generally, if you have to ask, you don't really need coilovers.

I think coilovers are more rought than springs, correct me if i'm wrong... so I would get springs for every-day driving.

Having coilovers will give you the option of height adjustment anytime you want.

Coilovers are the right way to lower the car. They may be more expensive, but you'll be able to set the height where you want it instead of just hoping the lowering springs put it in the right place. Also, if you don't like the ride, coilover springs are generally pretty standard in size, so you can swap to different spring rates. If it's just for the street, you don't want to go with anything much higher than stock (180F/225R). You can probably go up to around 300 or so without entirely crapping up the ride quality. A lot of track coilovers are in the 550F/650R range. I'm planning on using the Teins for my AutoX car with 559F/783R.

If you do decide to go with springs, a lot of lowering springs are from crap manufacturers. Don't ever buy a spring unless its made by Eibach or Rockwell (i.e. Hypercoil).
