perrin end links

i have these end links with the hotchkis rear sway. i bought em because ive heard stories of ppl snaping the stock links. but my question is how would you set the links up? i have them set as the same length as the stockers..but would i gain any performance changing length making them longer?? thanks

I have the same links, I am pretty sure that the longer you make them the looser the rear end and if you make them shorted it tightens things up.

Length shouldn't make any appreciable difference, as long as its the same for each side. You can put pre-load in the bar by making the links different lengths, but unless you're planning on going circle track racing, you don't want to do that.

You don't want to load the sway bar with your endlinks. Set them up to be neutral.

all neutral means is that there is no pre-load (tension) on the bar when the suspension is static (the car is just sitting there). if you're having the car aligned & balanced make sure they account for your weight in the drivers seat when setting the endlinks.

Alwaysinboost is right. When the car is static, you dont want the sway bar to have any tension on it. When I installed mine, the thought process was fairly simple. Measure the Perrin links to the exactly measurement of the oem piece and install that on the car and attached to the sway bar. I left the brackets holding the sway bar loose and lowered to car to the ground, in static position. Even released the hand brake to ensure the whole car is settled. Had my younger brother sit in the drivers seat, and then proceeded to tighten the brackets down. By doing this, I allowed as less tention as possible out of the bar since it moved freely. It may not be perfectly free of tention, but damn close to it. When I researched, many people say that you should have the bar perpendicular to the endlinks. Mine are close enough...good luck
