Snow tire traction

Well we just had a snow fall so i put on my dedicated snow tires on. Now that the pavement is dry. The car sucks. All it does is spin. I have to punch it to even boost in first. I am running 35 psi all the way around. Any ideas? Cant take them off, supposed to snow heavy this week. Thanks

Snow tires are generally not meant to excel in dry road performance. Thats why they are dedicated snow tires. You should just take it easy on them when the road is dry and temps are warmer. Dropping the pressures will cause them to wear more quickly.

lower tire pressures will also make an unresponsive tire even more unresponsive. 25psi is waaaay too low IMO, bordering on dangerous.

What kind of snow tires are you running? Are you using some truck snow tire or something? I run Michelin PA2's and they are great in the dry/wet & snow. I think it's your tire choice that has got you screwed up.

I've never had traction issues with my hankook icebear w300 tires. Which snow tires are you using? I can even do a 2 step launch and they dont slip.
