Yeah, the vehicle manufacturer gives the specs they want to the tire manufacturer, and the vehicle gets a tire that's specifically designed for it, and the parameters the vehicle manufacturer wants it to perform in. Almost always they're a lot more expensive than the tire's off-the-rack siblings.
