Lookin to do some Brake upgrades...

i'm keeping stock brembo's for now but for the track i'd like to get braided lines, a brace, and put in some motul fluid along with some project mu pads.

anyway my big question is what braided lines are available and what experience have you had? i know a few brand but dont have any feedback and same thing with the brace feedback please!

thanks guys happy holidays!

Project Mu is overpriced. Stick with some Ferodo's 2500 for street/track.

If you're going to track it, look into some brake cooling guides to keep the temps down. Forge and AMS make kits.

How are these compared to Hawk HP Plus as far as nise and bite go? Cheaper?

I was planning on going with Hawk HP Plus pads but I keep seeing Ferodo's popping up here and there.

DS2500 for track? Can't be going too hard or doing much hard stopping if DS2500 are good enough.

DS3000 or Pagid RS19 here.

HP Plus are cheaper - and have more bite - but are mostly louder

DS2500's have a bit less bite - but more temperature resistance and are a bit easier to control noise - more $$

hint -
Hawk HP+ will be cheaper in 2008 - prices on some shapes are actually coming down

On a Subaru the MC brace is very effective as the MC/booster moves a LOT under hard pedal inputs. (it's only bolted to the firwall)

It's easy to tell if you need it. Have a friend tromp on your brake pedal while you watch the MC. If it waves all over the place like the Impreza one does than the brace will help a lot with firming up your brake pedal.

does anybody make one?

My Ralliart booster brace was probably the best pre-BBK mod I made to the car's braking. The pedal just doesn't go away, even after repeated hard stops from 150mph+

HP+ are fantastic pads, but holy crap do they make noise and a lot of dust. It got to the point where other drivers thought I was hitting the wear clips every time I came to a stop. My silver wheels would turn gunmetal in less than a week.

EVOBrakes is your best bet. He posted just a few spots above here. Send him a PM of what you want and he'll get it for you at a killer price.
