Brake Light on and off while driving when really cold.. Any ideas??

Hi there.. My brake light on my 05 MR just recently started staying on when I am driving when it is EXTREMELY cold outside and I have left my car outside for a few hours at a time.. I have noticed it 2 times now..

It will turn on and then turn off, then turn on and turn off.. repeatably .. it is annoying and I'm not sure why it does it.. any ideas??

and no, it is not the anti-lock light.. it is the "Brake" light.. as if you would pull your emergency brake to turn it on. and it the ONLY time it is on is when it is cold outside.

Please help.

thank you!

I would first check ur brake fluid in the resevoir see if its low for some strange reason. after that check to make sure ur connectors of the hand brake are not being interupted or what not. Have you put anything aftermarket in the area of the handbrake? Just look at all the easy and common areas it may be... Hell if ur warranty is still in effect i would go to the dealer and not waste ur time...

do you have a turbo timer?? IF the ground is touching from the turbo timer hook up to the parking brake, then it may illuminate the dash light...
