17x8.5 is for fwd application and the wheel face looks pretty ugly compare with the 17x9 with +35 offset or lower. It give you the concavity look and still really light. The only "downside" if that you have to run spacer up front.

I have the exact set up on my RR which I use for my track tires in the summer and snow tires in the winter. The 17x8.5 is a versatile set up, as I run 255/40/17 NT01's for track and 235/45/17 Dunlop Winter Sport 3Ds; no spacers and no rubbing on the wider track tire.

PM me with your e-mail and I'l send you some pics once I get a chance to wash the car (too cold today!)

oh wow i wasnt getting a notification about this thread so sorry for the late response.

i love the way the concave face looks but i dont want to experience any rubbing. for now the car is a DD and if it sees a track it's a drag strip. does the 17x9 rub? do i need to roll fenders?

the more and more i see these rims the more i want them especially since i have 19"s on and they hurt the handling. my car is lowered with springs and i plan for my next suspension setup to be Blistein struts and GTworx springs. i want to change my car's look

goforward - you have a pm
