What offset is normally required?

Just wanted to know what the normal offset is for an Evo 8. I see a lot of wheels that say +30 or +35 that supposedly fit, and I ran across a set of wheels today that I might consider for my car. Only thing is it says the offset is +20, and it just doesn't sound right. What offset should it really be?

I am not an expert, but I believe the stock offset of the evo 8 enkei's are +38mm. The wheels you want are +20mm, as far as I know those won't fit because they will not clear the brake calipers. the only real way to make them fit is by using wheel spacers to bring out the offset. But 18mm is kind of steep, that's about 3/4" spacer. You would also need longer wheel studs to make them fit. I would just look for a set that is closer to the original offset.

Yeah, if that's the case I don't even want to try. Was kind of interesting, they're supposed to clear 350z's and g35's with Brembo brakes with that +20mm, hopefully I can find them in a +38mm then. Thanks!

Ok, so if that's the case then these specific wheels with a width of 8.5" and a +20mm offset should fit with no issues then, seeing that the offset is how far the center of the wheel sets out towards the outer lip. Only problem then would be if they stick out past the fender line.

I bought JIC 18x8.5 wheels with a +25 offset and they rub against the fenders. I do have aftermarket springs ...

If you have an option, go with +35 offset
