ATTN : Tire Rack / Pro Drive!

Evening,

I was parusing through a Tire Rack Dealers Catalog and noticed that you guys listed ProDrive.

If you are a ProDrive dealer.. can you guys get the following for the Evo.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

18×8.5J 5 114 34 W/BB ¥65,000 LANCER EVO

A wheel must be built to deliver the best possible performance when fitted with a suitable tyre.
If you want the best totally balanced wheels, then the method of production should change depending on wheel size. This is due to the fact that the wheel weight and strength required alter depending on size.
However, due to the extra time and effort required for such production, wheels offering such design input did not exist.
Prodrive, on the other hand, knows what is necessary to be the best and therefore does not allow for compromise. As a result, Prodrive has taken wheel design to a new level and employed a special production process to achieve the "total balance" required.
Not available up until now, the company offers its PMSS system (Production Method Suitable by Size) which allows wheels to be specially produced depending on their size.
The GC-06D wheel design invites enthusiasts to a world of driving that were not previously be experienced

Yep one of my favorite wheels along with the GC-010E and the Yokohama TCII. I can order them if you have no luck with the tire rack.

The gold Prodrive wheels and some of the Gold SSR wheels were only produced for the WRX's (sorry guys, they would look cool on the EVO). Unfortunately, we no longer carry the Prodrive line. I dont know the reasoning behind it, but its too bad cause I was a fan of them as well.

Neal...Your professional opinion please. $208 a copy will buy a lot of different skins. I like the 046 but are there other options you would consider? Moreover, I did not see the OEM enkie rims in the sports compact rim reviews, are they worthy or should there be new rims in my future? I weighed the mounted tire (32psi) and rim, seems it was about 38lbs. if memory serves.

Are you going to offer any rims other than what's currently listed on your website?

I'm not to fond of our current options.

Thanks!

You are correct, there are many wheels on the market for that price or less. The thing you have to watch is the quality of these companies and the fitment of the wheels. A lot of them say "will fit cars X-X, drilled to fit, minimum modification required, etc". This can cause major problems down the road if not careful. With the size of the calipers on this car a lot of owners are finding out the hard way as to what will and wont fit. The Prodrive line is excellent stuff, and Enkie wheels seem to get good reviews as well. I wouldn't worry about the integrity of the stock wheels, but it would be best to stick with some type of name brand wheel if moving to aftermarket stuff.

We will be carrying a few newer style wheels for this car in the near future. One thats on the order list is the SSR GT-7. Its looking like the wheel will be offered in the Carbon Grey and Silver for now, other colors might be offered later on. They have fitments for the EVO and WRX's. They will prob not arrive to us until early September. I will double check to see if any newer styles will fit as well
