Coilover Strut blew out (Megan)

Well driving to theshop yesterday (i cant believe how many EVOs there are at this place)....and every bump I went over and loud BANG would come from the rear. when i got to the shop i took a peek under the car and all the fluid from the strut of my rear megan racing coilover was all over the place. now, every single little bump i go over the car just BANGS.

my question is, is it possible to have these rebuilt with new valves and seals? If so, where? and typically how much is this?

Thanks

How long have you had them? Also where are they set? I've not had any "blow" from anything less than a cinder block at hwy speeds/catching the inside curb (real racing) REAL hard, etc. An "accident" if you will...

he means the stifness, those are adjustable coilovers right !! so the previouse owner or youreself must have set them to the correct height.

I think he means were they at the lowest possible setting, always on super stiff setting, etc. Correct?

I mean that if they were setup within the specified height range in the Megan pamphlet that is included with the coilovers, and you obviously didn't slam into something, I was thinking it may be something that could be covered under warranty. However, since you are not the first owner, that's shot in the butt from the get go...

The manufacturer does not "rebuild" them. They simply replace them. If you decide to do that, I probably have the best deal on replacements... however, they don't keep many of those around as it's a rare occasion to need one.
