Doesn't matter - just use a FlexHone no matter which race compound pad (even same mfr) before putting street pads back on; not needed when going street to track pad though.

pic attached - place in drill and go over rotor surfaces - only needed going track to street pads.

Good to do only if you want to avoid pad deposits making your street pads thump like a low rider.... No BS, you guys didn't already know about this??

this is the first time i'm running dedicated race pads. i thought the pad deposits could be rid off by going thru the bedding in procedure after swapping the pads.

anyways, back to topic, i'm very pleased at how the hps run on street. no complains whatsoever.

cheers.

I have Hawk HP+ pads. You guys don't know what noise is untill you get a set of these. However, I still really like them.

I've got a set of Hawk HPS I've thought about putting on just to kill out some of the noise. I'm not sure if I'll do it yet or not because I really like the way these HP+ pads work and feel. Only complaint is the noise... and yes, it's that bad

All in all, Hawk makes a really good product. I've had them on multiple vehicles with great results.

If you are using over rotors, I would highly suggest getting them turned. HPS's don't like being on rotors with any grooving to begin.

I have some Hawk HPS....they stop, but make noise like crazy when they heat up a bit. Dusting looks to be very good.
