Will they rub
Will they rub
I have an 05 evo 8 gsr. I recently put a set of Tien S tech Springs on a set of new kyb's
the car is pretty low. but now it is time for a nice summer tire
i was wondering what is the widest tire i could/should go before having rubbing issues. I have a set of 17" Rota Torques on the car as well, these will be wat the tires will be mounted to
what tires do u reccomend for aggressive driving and what size could i run??

What size and offset or the Rota's? If they're stock size, there are lots of possibilities - the width of the tire won't be as much of a determinant on how well the tires fit your "aggressive driving" requirement, the tire itself is more important. So, if I were you and had 17x8" wheels looking for a quality street tire, I would get stock sized Bridgestone RE01r's.
soo your sayin like a decent soft compound tire either 235 45 17 , or possibly 245 45 17???
im looking to road course the car this year once i get a lil better set up soo im hopin to hook up with a decent tire
the rims are 17 x 8 . im sure the offset is just like the stock enkei's

Well, first of all, you have already ruined the car's handling by installing those springs. That makes your handling worse than stock, and they will blow your new shocks. No tire will make up for that, and with stock-sized rims, you can't go wide anyway. You have to tell us EXACTLY what size the rims are - you can't just make random guesses, because that information is critical before purchasing tires.
235/45-17 is the stock size, so that would be fine, but that wouldn't fit your desire to go "as wide as possible." Don't do 245/45s, since those are far too tall. What you really want is something like a 17X9 with a 255/40 Direzza Z1, RE-01R, A046, etc.

wow..
ok nevermind.. the reason i put the s techs on were because i got em basically for no money at all. and i still have low mileage set of stock shocks/spinrgs to go back to if i desire. i did it just soo i dont have to drive a monster truck around. when i get serious into handling ill blow the 2g's on a set of coilovers. soo chill out.. i was basically asking a simple question of what size tire i should run. the rims are 17x8 with a 35mm offset, what else do u need to know
i guess nevermind than ill get a set of tires that i know are decent for summer and drive on my " bad handling" car.

Did big bad Warrtalon hurt your feelings??

I gave you your answer regarding tires.
It doesn't matter if you got them for "basically no money at all," because you shouldn't put them on your Evo unless someone paid you to do it. Even then, it would be questionable. You didn't say anything about changing them out for when you go to the track, and you didn't say anything about changing them out for your "aggressive driving." If you care more about the car being slammed than being healthy, then that's your choice.

haha..
alrite , i got paid to put them on my car. my friends were all, damn your car is soo lifted and high, it really needs to be lower, i will pay to make u slam it... soo bam, located the suspension and they paid me big bucks to do it. lol
honestly i dont care, i was asking for opinions, usually im the one that makes a snotty remark to peoples dumb posts.. soo this was dumb .. guess i got a taste of my own medicine.. ill just pick up a set of general 195 40 17 and drive it like a grandma
i didnt plan on staying with this suspension forever, its been on the car for a week and a half and from past experiences with other cars ive owned, which have had full coilovers, yess this "slammed drop spring" feel sucks compared to that. a good suspension set up will be in the near future dont worry
