So i noticed yesterday that I got some "scars" or lines in the middle of my front left rotor, which is kinda f'd up. I just replaced all the rotors and pads on the evo, but have not bled the fluids out yet.
My previous set of rotors were slotted and i replaced them cause I was getting major vibrations when slowly getting on the brakes (at around 60-70mph) to slow down. The old front left rotor had a big scar/groove in the middle of the rotor! I assumed it was because the guy who installed some brake pads for me, installed the shim backwards.
The groove pretty much happened after the pad install.
I put the shims the right way and they were ok up until last month (about a year of use).
Now since I have not bled the brake fluids, i'm wondering if that could be causing the scarring?? Uneven brake pressure or what not?
When I changed the pads, i did not notice anything on the caliper itself, but I can check again. Does anyone think bleeding the fluids with fresh fluid might help? Or is there something else I should be looking into as well?
The other rotors have no issues, just the driver's side front.
btw.. the new rotors are Centric oem-type blanks and pads are Hawk HPS.
