breaking in new tires?

Just put on some new falken azenis. Do I need to do any special break in procedures? I've read about heat cycling but don't really know much more. Sorry for the dumb question.

Great article for when to rotate and how often below. More rotations earlier on is the key to good treadlife.

Thx for the article. Good info. I guess I was wondering about breaking them in for the 1st 100 miles. Should I drive them hard or take it easy?

Take it easy for a bit. They are most prone to damage early on because of the full, squirmy tread depth. The mold release on the tire takes about 200 or so miles to wear off as well under normal driving conditions.

I know people who have thrown the on and gone right to an autoX. I wouldn't bother doing anything special really... just make sure you don't overdrive them and your pressures are correct...
