Coilover ride height?

I know all coilovers are adjustable but does each set of coilovers come with a optimum ride height? Or is there a suggested manufacturers ride height or something? I see some evo's with coilovers that look like there on springs then i see some coilovers that look a lot lower than normal...Can someone shed some light on my confusion.

Depends on what you're going to use your car for. Then you have to look at what type of wheels you're going to put on your car. If you drop it too low then you'll be rubbing. That wouldn't be a good daily driver. For example, I have P45R 18x9.5 on Megan Track Coilovers. For daily driving I have my ride height lowered 1 inch in front and 0.8 in rear. In the future when I'm going to track the car I will lower it a little more and make it increase the dampener settings. I'm already rubbing on my liners dropped an inch in the front. So let us know your current setup then we can go from there.

It's going to be different for every coilover, and for different usages.
