you might be able to get the bead to seal with some lighter fluid and a match...

why not just go with a wider tire?

It might fit, but why would you want to do that to your care? Big 19" rims with the same width as stock and tires way thinner than stock? That would be awful on an Evo.

Can it be done, yes... is it the best idea not really since you could easily fit wider ones with no problem. However if you have the parts and are ready to go... it's your car do what you want. But to answer is a 215 tire on an 8" wide rim TOO MUCH of stretch I so no.
