He's in the Motorsports forum and posts semi-regularly. It's a yellow Evo in Florida, but I forget the screen name. It's either Hoosiers or V710s.

The 315's are over rolling a bit arent they? I believe hoosier has a 295/30/18 A6, why doesnt anyone run those on an 11 inch wide rim? Closer to stock rolling, 10mm more rubber..

Im rubber challenged comparatively, ill end up with only 275's down the road.

Not worth the widebody kit for most, I guess.

If its just a minor roll for 285's, it should be possible just to roll out the extra 10mm. What width rim are you on Clay? 10.5?

Mine required major rolling, and Hoosier 285s are actually wider than V710 285s. 295s push it out more, and on an 11" rim, it's compounded even further.

I'm only on an 18X9.5, which is pretty standard. A few are using an 18X10 but most are on 18X9.5s, I believe.

One thing I have noticed is that my spare set of V710s stand way taller than my V710s mounted to the 18X9.5s - stacked side-by-side.

Oh interesting, I would have guessed you guys to go wider on the rim than that. Ive got 245's on a 9, lol. If theres no way to fit more tire without widebody, then Id be happy with 285's as it seems everyone is. do you think being closer to rolling diameter would be better, or not for you?

the unmounted tires are probably just wider at the bead than when mounted to a 9.5 rim, so mounting them on wider rims might actually fit the tire better, and it would flatten the tread out a bit more (not that it needs it, I wouldnt know)

Yes, they would be great on a 10.5.

Well, now looking at tire rack, it seems the 285's have a smaller section width by .1 inch, and actually a wider tread width by .1 inch. so it would only be for the rolling diameter, its almost exactly the same tire otherwise.

Yea im looking at the 285 vs the 295 hoosiers. via tire rack, the kumho actually has a wider section width by .6 inch, and it doesnt list the tread width. But the hoosiers are known to be a bit wider, right?
