Should I try, 17x8 47+
My buddy has a set of rims Le28n's that have a 47+ offset, and im wondering if i should bother? They are really nice and he's selling them for very cheap.
Spacers can always fix the offset proglem. If you like them and they are still a good deal when you factor in the cost of spacers then go for it. Not optimal, but it will defiantly work with the right spacer (10mm would put you 1mm off of stock specs).
Do not do that! 10mm is .4 inches or almost half of an inch. Your stock studs will be too short to hold the nuts on. You would have to get longer studs installed and even after all of that you will still only have stock looking fitment and then if you ever change to normal offset you will probably have to reinstall the standard studs. Most persons opt for a lower offset if anything since that will give you a slightly wider wheel base. Going the other way especially with so much headache is not worth the money.
