EVO 8 Front Brake Problem
In regard to the brake noise, isn't there already numerous threads regarding brakes noises and that they are normal? Didn't the dealer make you watch a stupid video telling you that the brakes will make noises because they are high performance brakes?
we need to make dealers aware of brake problem
Hey Guys,
I had serious thickness deformity variation of the rotors causing steering wheel oscillation that developed after 2,400 miles or so. I read the posts about the poor pad quality mitsu uses, which probably transfers pad material to the rotor causing the thickness variation. Of course the dealer did not think this could be. I told them I will call you in a week when it happens again. Well, it took about two weeks after they resurfaced the rotors and the same steering wheel oscillation returned. It goes in OCT 11th again. They wouldn't give me the cost of the mitsu pads (I was going to use the money and pay the difference for some carbontech pads). We will see what they do on Oct 11th. I don't give a crap about the brake noise and squeeling. What I do not appreciate is my steering wheel shaking almost out of my hands during moderate to hard braking. If others are experiencing similar rotor warpage or thickness variation. Tell your dealer. Maybe then they will do something. Hey mitsu, just give me the money for your crappy pads and I will fix it myself. It is a shame cause the rest of the car has been rock solid and trouble free.
