How do I tell?

Hey everyone...I am looking for some info on wheel backspacing. I am finally asking here because a have searched for a while now and can't find an answer that lets me understand...So here goes...Does wheel backspace chage for eack style of wheel? Or is it a "industry standard" kind of thing...I am looking at some 18x9's speedy wheels...what kind of backspaing am i looking for? Looking down A wheel flush with fender lip is what im going for...hope someone can shed some light for me

So tell me if I have it right...I read those post that you showed me earlyier and still wasent shure...but tell me if this sounds right...So i just have to find an offset that I like , and that applies to most all wheels, or just that wheel...do you see what im sayin...how do I figure out what offset tho get when i order these wheels?

just make sure you have correct lug pattern and if needed call up tire rack and find out if they fit with your vehicle, too much offset\little can cause to touch calipers and or rub on your car..

Gee thanks..."The right lug pattern"???? you were just trying to help I Just wanted some insight on understanding what "offset" was, and how it affects differnt aspects of my car, and what wheels would work. I guess being a Newbie I have to think longer on how to word my questions...all cool here! Anyway, I now get what offset is and have the answer i was looking for
