all weather tire question

235/55/18 that is the tires I was planning on getting from a friend. They are used. Do you think the height is too high or should I stay away from the height and get something like 50 series or 40 series?

thanks for looking

From: somewhere testing various tires, brakes, and suspensions.
Too much sidewall - it will handle like a turd. A 55 series is almost a 11% difference diameter. Means the speedo will be way off - 10-12 mph.

Get 235/40/18 for all seasons. That is almost the same dia as the OE rim/tire.
