washers between the 2 bars under the DP???

hey guys i was wondering if anyone has done this. i just added a washer to each bolt that holds these 2 bars in place. i was wondering if it would affect anything. by adding the washers it gave me more than enough clearance for the DP. i guess i had ran over something that hit the forward bar and bent it. so i removed and straightened the bar, then painted and reinstalled with the washers. so far no ill effects on the test drive. just wondering if anyone has tried this especially with the DP's that seem to rub on those bars. mine was rubbing after the bar was bent. look at the pics to see what i'm talking about.

installed with the washers

Your good, I did the same thing, it wasn't touching yet on the Megan DP but it was close, so I figured any hard shifting it would probably hit. No problems yet.
