Street or Tracks? I ran the Megan Tracks before my current setup (I changed them out due to daily driving characteristics and winter punishment). The tracks are very stiff for daily use. Overall, they were an OK entry level coil-over. A friend now has them on his car in NC.

i would say most likely the street, just for the fact that im new to this, havent ever been to a track (but do plan on it), and the megans and tiens basic are the cheaper ones. but im looking for good quality to come with that price. steering toward the swift spring and stock strut deal, but im tryin to weigh all of my options here

Tein basics are ok till you hit uneven pavement at freeway speeds. THey don't have good rebound. You can almost feel your wheels loosing traction. Other than that they are ok. Had them on my 350z.

Anybody else got some input on these coilovers? Or maybe another brand that's in the 800 to 900 range with good quality for daily driving and sometimes track?

I highly recommend that if your budget is only $900 for coilover then just stay with stock suspension. i know someone with megan street on the STi, has problems with them, end up putting stock suspension back. another friend of mine had tien flex, put them on handling was bad, so he had robispec set them up right with alignment, corner weigh, bump steer kit, trailing arm bushing and roll center kit, brought the suspension back to the right geometry.

by just slapping on some coilovers and lower the car will mess up the suspension geometry, first thing you will lose bump steer.

I don't see the sense in coilovers for a street car. I had Tein HEs on my 240sx and when I bought them, I didn't know a lick about setting up suspension. My car handled worse. In the end it was awesome. But for the Evo, because it's mainly a street car, I just went with springs.

I have the swift springs on my mr bilsteins, nice stance and good improvement over stock. I'm in the same boat now where I want more adjustability. When it comes to coils and pretty much any part, you get what you pay for. I value my suspension quite a bit on my car, so I will likely put a ncie penny towards it. I'm thinking cusco zero 2r or 2e on mine. KW's a re nice and teins also. Just keep in mind like what was previously said, putting on the coils and lowering your car will only get you so far, get it corner balanced and aligned and any other necessary supporting mods to dial it in. A necessary small fee and it should be in your budget (150-250)

i would rather go with the basic, its not really the best that tein makes but for the money its the best bang for your buck! i had reallly bad experiences with megan racing products and I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND ANYONE TO BUY ANYTHING from MEGAN RACING!!!!....i have no idea if they improved their design but their products are really shoddy!!! GO TEIN!!!!

Sent ya a PM...

I ran Swift springs for a year - street and track and was really impressed. It rode better than stock, has a nice aggressive performance drop, and definitely helped on the track. My .02.

GTworx springs are selling very well. A lot of people combo the swifts or gtworx springs with the MR Bilsteins - or run just the stock MR Bilsteins.
