Number 13 is important.

Do their instructions mention anything?

I think he didn't realize that that rubber thing popped out. He said he has done numerous spring installs before, and hes "A God" at alignment, says others.

Anyways, he thinks there going on fine now, and I'm getting a re-alignment too.

Hopefully there will be no more problems and he has figured it out.

When i did mine, i took the rubber insulator out, aligned it with the springs and then put the mount on.

Last time I put a new strut on an Odyssey at work, the bearing in the top hat blew up and sent the spring shooting downward about 3 inches from my foot and ocsillated (sp?) for a good 15 seconds.... Loud... Ever since then, I'm afriad to do struts.

Hahahah, anyway, they look like the right springs to me. The installation is pretty straight foward. I had mine down in under an hour with the help of a friend. He did one side, I did the other. Your buddy probably just had a retard moment. We all have those. Unfortunatly, I have them quite often.
