slow leak?
slow leak?
a friend of mine has a slow leak in one of his all seasons tires that he uses for winter. they are relatively new (about 3k on them) and he doesn't understand why, so he asked me to ask here. he fills them to around 34 psi and within a week its at about 25 give or take. he inspected it for punctures and can not hear or see any leaks. what could be the problem? i noted that he doesn't use value stem caps but he doesn't think thats the reason. only 1 of his tires does this

From: somewhere testing various tires, brakes, and suspensions.
Nail, valve stems, bead.
Take them to a local shop. Sometimes nails do an in/out and it leaks some air. Sometimes valve stems crack and leak. Sometimes the bead is just eh.
Tire shop should have that fixed right quick.

Get a spray bottle, fill it with water. Put air in the tires. It would be easier if the tires were off the car. Spray the whole thread, valve stem and around the bead. Look for bubbles, that's where the air is coming out. If u can't find it, take to a local shop.
