choosing between 3 tires HELP....

Well like the title says looking to get a new set of tires since my SO-3 area about done. witch one would be a better buy.

Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1 Star Spec (245-45-17) $139 each, from tire rack
VS
Hankook Ventus R-S2 (245-45-17) $125 each. from tire rack
VS
Kumho Ecsta XS (245-45-17) $143 each. from tire rack as well

just trying to get people opinion before i buy a set of new tires, i do auto crossing here and there, but mostly daily driving, and want something good for the street.

Choice #1, but read the user reviews on TireRack.com.

I used the RS2 on my mini and they stuck like glue, much nicer than the falkens in my opinion. I haven't used the other two but if you don't mind a reasonably short lifespan(I'm at 14k and they need to be replaced)

Star specs are basically the number one performing summer tire for the price right now, I don't know of anyone who can submit evidence otherwise. I would have gotten them but theyre just shy of 200 a piece when you step up to 18's

The Dunlop's stiff tire carcass and the wide squarish tread area works really well on our relatively heavy Evos.

I would say the Z1s are the best of the 3 you mentioned.

i had the rs-2. they are a good tire but it will wear fast. Mine only lasted one summer..Start considering other tires, such as the Falken fk-452, or even the Federal 595rs (kind of harder to find but the price is good and up to par if not better then the rs-2)

From: somewhere testing various tires, brakes, and suspensions.
Z1's hands down. The current tire to have in street tire AXing too. I have run them on AXing and track days.

RS2's: I have driven on my brother car. Stick well but are not as good as the newest generation of tire compounds.

I have driven the MX's, not the XS's, I cant speak to them.

In my opinion, no summer (sticky, performance) tire will last over 15-20k when in use.

I have the Z1's and love them. They grip like crazy and were the cheapest I could find when it comes to performance. Just read reviews and it will be easy for you to decide.

Ditto in the Z1 Star specs..I have them in 245-45-17 on the stock MR BBS's. Best by a good bit as far as street and AX. I currently have 12000 miles on them and after several AX and lots of backroad carving they still have 1/2 tread left. They stick better in the cold weather than the RT-615's did as well

Current alignment is zero toe all around and -2f -1r camber. Espilar GT springs on MR Bilsteins 300f/330r Hope this helps
