I understand. I just consider any drop over 1.75 to be slammed. I had Tanabes on one of my DSMs and they sucked bad. I had to roll the rear fender wells. They were supposed to be 1.5" I put on some Eibach Pros and it made a huge difference. I doubt that the stock struts are in their ideal operating range when they are that much lower. I could be wrong though. Generally I wouldn't just put on springs without struts too, but the stock struts are pretty stout already.

I agree about the Evo being uneven, but I don't want to be scraping my driveway every day.

If they are a similar spring rate...maybe they could just be put on the front. That would look pretty good.

Huh? Where did that come from? Do you mean because my fronts look bald?

Speaking of. Here is a pic with only the front installed.

I like that. Did you drive it with just the front?

I only drove it around the block. It felt fine that way. If I knew the actual spring rates, I might have considered leaving it.

I wanted to make sure I had the stiffest possible spring rates. I wanted to eliminate as much body roll and weight transfer.

Looks good. After riding on Eibach Sportlines for a few years, I will probably go with a more reasonable drop when I get the EVO. Prokits are the way to go. Eibach quality is top notch.

I thought I read that they were 1.75 front. Hmmph. Either way. I think that is a bit much for stock struts. It would be fine with coilovers though. To each his own.

The Eibach Sportlines are Eibachs answer to Sprint and springs like that. Low performance and a big drop. The pro kit is much more performance oriented.

Is it a relatively easy job to lower our evo's on our own if we have some mechanical knowledge help and the proper tools? Where would I go to get instructions on how to install these springs?

It's very easy. It took me about an hour. I have done spring and shocks on a lot of other cars though. It is basically the same as a DSM. You only need the spring compressor for the front. The rear is soft enough you can compress it with your hands.

Use the FSM if you don't know how to disassemble the suspension.

Could you give me a little more info on the install? And what is an FSM. I'd really like to install my suspension myself if possible.

That's looks really good with just the front installed.
What will be the handling effect in this setup? i.e front=eibach, rear=stock spring?

As long as the rates btw the OEM springs and the Eibachs are pretty close; I think you'll be fine just putting the fronts on and leaving the rears.

I like that look the best.
