DD - I ran the HTRII's a few years ago as my summer DD tire. Worked OK. The Kuhmo ASX are great A/S tires too. Or the Goodyear F1 variations.

I got the kumho ecsta asx, and I can't complain. Just had em put on about 2 weeks ago. They're reallý good in my opinion for a DD and they're about 89 bucks a tire

If they are going on winter rims will these be used in snow and such? Reason being is they are a sport summer only tire, not anything close to an all season tire. Would be much better off in something like the Kumho ASX or Sumitomo HTR+ if seeing snow/ice conditions.

no, no snow or ice live in central california we get just A little bit of rain here, so mostly dry ground, that's why he kinda wants a summer tire.

i have the sumitomos HTR Z or Z+...cannot remember lol

it works great i went for 245s instead. car handles decent enough, and the tire has good treadwear for DD.

The HTR-Z-III is a really good tire for not a lot of money. They last a long time for a summer tire and they ride really nicely.

The Dunlop Direzza Z1 is the ultimate tire if you want tons and tons of grip. They're a little more expensive, but still on the low end of tire prices. Just don't expect them to last very long.
