Replacing/Fixing my suspension
Replacing/Fixing my suspension
I drive a 2003 Evo 8
So I've been hearing bumping from the forward passenger wheel all winter, it finally occurred to me to test my car and sure enough, the shock is blown. Since I have no experience with suspension parts, my friends are trying to help me find a replacement and feel that I should upgrade instead of buying something stock. I don't have a track around but I do love to drive my Evo so a suspension upgrade sounded good. So I'm looking for advice from you guys or seeing if anyone out there has something for sale. I'm in a position where I shouldn't be spending that much money but I'm not going to let this fester and want to take care of it.
My friend suggested these:
http://www.advancespeedshop.com/tana...2-p-10795.html
Any feedback from people with personal experience with Tanabe?
I read that some people buy MR Bilsteins and put them on their Evos. How much do those run and does anyone know of any place that sells them?
Thanks guys

MR Bilsteins can be had from the For Sale forums. The Bilstein HD's are buyable from vendors here.

I was trying not to spend 2.4k on coil overs + installation. At this point I'm getting more interested in just fixing/replacing my shocks. Seeing how most coil over kits cost 2k+ I'm assuming that the Tanabe coil overs are not that good in terms of quality.
I'll keep searching the sale forums and see if I can find any MR Bilsteins for sale.

Ok, thanks for the input guys. I'm going to call tomorrow about the Tanabe Coil Overs as well as check into the Stance coil overs that are for sale on the forum. SpeedDemon, I'm doing some searches but do you have any sites you recommend where I can find Bilsteins? I most likely have to have them ordered by tomorrow to get them before the weekend.
you may also look into the megan coilovers. when i replaced my blown front driver shock i didnt want to spend alot either. i pmd a couple vendors who sell and install suspension and found some used low milage shocks cheap (front and rear shocks with 10,000 miles for only 100 dollars).
