Tire Help??

I have been looking for a while for a set of some good summer tires, and Im new to getting good tires...I read many reviews and asked countless tire techs.. still am unsure what to get.
Im looking for a good DD tire with minimal wear and I NEED good dry grip, and good grip into turns.
Was running stock 235/45/17 plan on running 245/40/17

my top choices so far are
1. Yokohama Advan Sport
2. Kumho Ecsta MX (had these but with horrible wear so I didnt get the full experience)
3.Goodyear Eagle GT
4. Dunlop Direzza Sport Z1 Start Spec
5. Bridgestone Potenza RE-01R
6. Bridgestone Potenza RE050A Pole Position

any thoughts would be greatly apreashated!! Thanks!

1,2,4,5, and 6 are all summer based sport tires that will only provide 12-18K miles. If that's ok I would highly recommend the Dunlop Z1's for top dry grip and response.

#3, is an all season tire and will last the longest. It won't have near the grip as the others but you will get close to 40K miles.

So it depends on what you want more of, longevity or handling. Unfortunately you can't have both at the same time.

Check out the BFG KDW2 tires. The have a 300 treadware and alright grip...

As Neal has said though you can't have the best of both worlds...

Check out Vredestein Sessanta. I heard that they are pretty good.

dunlop direzza z1 starspecs (great tire for dry/wet; on par with the stock advans imo but at a much cheaper cost, i love them)
michelin ps2 (another amazing tire, but quite pricey)
advan s.drives (good tire if you want decent grip and longer life than the z1's, i believe these replaced the es100's)
