Question Iss it my shocks or control arm???

I've been having some issues with the right side of my suspension bottoming out when I go over a bump or in a pothole. My car just came from the shop yesterday for a clutch job and I had always concluded to ignore the problem since it was most likely the shocks that went and I said I'd take care of it when I got my new suspension.

But the mechanic that worked on my car told me he inspected the noise he heard while testing the clutch and out the car on the lift and said it was the control arm. Does this sound like it makes sense? and can the control arm cause the right side to bottom out?

From: somewhere testing various tires, brakes, and suspensions.
If the bushings where dead. Check the shock for fluid leaking out where the piston meets the housing.

Yeah he did mention the bushings. I'll check when I get home. Thanks.
