Maybe you should start looking at some nice Tenzo R's!

I am actually looking at the Enkie wheels that are comming out next wek, they will be released next week at the show in Cally unless they get burnt up along with everything else .

I am looking at this set of 18's that weigh 17 pounds, forged and around $1500 without tires.

If not then I'll go with teh 17's, they are 15 pounds, nothing speacial to look at but are forged, light, and can get them for $1300 with all season tires, strickly performance, and bolt on with no spacers.

But they do not look nearly as good as the Kia's.

forged does not neccesarily equate to "better / stronger"... some of them are, (the Mugens i had on the Si where solid)... but i also had a set of the Racing Hart CP-035R's - forged, and one of them crumpled like tin foil when i hit that pothole...

moral of the story...? i'll never wear Racing Harts again...

The 18's I JUST mentioned are not even released yet, they come out next Monday, I may have a set as early as the following Saturday.

the LIGHT 17's I speak of are here, VERY light and I may just get them, they reduce unsprung weight, wheels and new tires combined, by over 10 pounds per wheel, that'll help in a roll.

Enkei RP02 in 17" 15.7lbs 779.99 shipped or 18" 18.2lbs 1050.00 shipped

Enkei RPF-1 17"15.2lbs 1050.00 shipped

Exactly!! Forge does NOT mean stronger... most actual racing wheels, especially for rallying are cast spun to resist breaking... forged wheels can be strong if they are cold forged, but most are heat forged which make them susceptible to bending.

I did some research and it seems the stock Evo wheels are made from the same mold as the Enkei Tarmac EVO which means they are some of the best racing wheels you could have, too bad it's not a 17x9... not the lightest but definitely unbreakable.

I think I'll go with Work Meister SZR 18x9 with some 255/35 meat. Have to wait through the winter first though. :hap2ang:

Very nice choice - there was a previous Ralliart model that came with these as standard- one of the rarest Evo's made, called the "Zero Fighter".
