Brake Noise?

Brake Noise?

Anyone got the brake squels? Got 1100 miles on it and there ringing already! What gives here?

Try washing the brake dust off around the rotor and brakes. Our brakes have the super brake dust build up brake pads. You'll need to clean them off weekly or depending how much you drive and brake (stop and go).

There is a technical service bulletin from Mitsubishi about this. I think it has been posted in another thread so you might be able to find it with a search. It is also available on the NHTSA website.

Not trying to flame or anything, but if you do a search you would see this has been covered several time.

Most high performance break pads do tend to squeek, espically when they have not been cleaned for a while. Just a by product of lots of break dust. Best thing to do,as mentioned above, is to to keep them cleaned out. You can also look at some after market pads that dont throw out as much dust. Hawk and ferodo are two that come to mind.
