Hey i wanted to change my wheels to a set of 18x8.5 and the offset is 38 mm. Will that clear my brakes and fit well on my evo? Thanks!

 

The quick answer to your quick question is that it depends on the design of the wheel. My experience is limited to looking for 17x8s that fit, but I know others have had similar issues looking for larger wheels that fit without spacers.
