Grid F issueitment

Ok i need a lil help. I am planning to get the Rota Grids with 18x9.5+20mm offset. Thinking about a 235/40 18. I really dont want to roll my fenders due to it will cost more inless i DYI. Do you think i will need them rolled?

I am lowered 1 inch in back with Tanabe springs.

Please help cuz i dont want to get them being all pumped up and then not fitting.

Thanks

A guy that runs them on his IX said he had to roll the inner lip of the rear quarters so it wouldn't rub, and had to grind a small part of one of the calipers

If it's as simple as rolling beating in the inner lip it shouldn't be too much of an issue

Then you'll need to run a spacer or choose a different wheel.

Mine will be here on Friday, i'll let you know.

FYI- Grid's have about 1mm caliper clearance in the front so if the rub- you'll need to grind that small part (very small i'm sure, don't be a wuss) or run a 3mm spacer.

You WILL need to roll the rear inner lip. If you're not willing to do so... like I said find another wheel.

I installed my Grid's the other day, they clear the front calipers by about 1mm,

I grinded that area down to get about 2mm of clearance, then repainted all the calipers.

You can't even tell they were grinded.

Rear Quarters need to be rolled, even on stock suspension they rubbed in the rear over bumps.

Fronts cleared stock suspension perfect, no rubbing at all even lock to lock.

Fender liners were ziptied from the last wheels/tires I had, so I left them like that.

If you're scared to do such little grinding just get 3mm spacers for the front, however you're calipers probably need to be repainted anyways

Lastly- you def need coilovers to make the car look perfect, I don't think drop springs will lower the car enough to cover these wide azz wheels.

Got them on my IX no fitment issues in the front didnt grind anything and as for the rear I have greddy coilovers and it bearly rubbed on the very very outside with a 255 35 18 so I had the inside rolled with a true fender roller for 50 bucks

You don't HAVE to shave the caliper. But being so close, I did it for piece of mind.

Would it be better for maybe a 3mm spacer then to shave metal off the calipar?
