Rotors.. Is this safe
Sounds like you got the right advise........Its called "Heat Checking" & is normal in the auto industry that I work in.
There are advisories on how large the heat checks can be & when its time to replace.........Peace

I would not do a HPDE on warped rotors would you? And I have done alot of HPDE's i do make sure I have fresh fluid and track pads. And i inspect the rotors to make sure they will handle the high heat.
How do you know that they're warped? That looks like your standard heat checking that occurs on a rotor that's used properly. As long as they aren't extending to the perimeter, I wouldn't worry about it assuming you have sufficient rotor material in tact.
They didn't crack because they are warped...They might be warped, but that is not the issue as to why they are cracked like the way they are... Those are exactly how my rotors looked when I purchased my evo used. The previous owner tracked the car and what you see is pretty much the norm after 1 or more good track sessions. I dd my evo too and left them the way they were for approx. 5,000 miles and then replaced them once the pads were almost gone (cracks were too deep to be able to turn them back to normal). I put on a set of OEM front rotors and Hawk pads and still have the rotors on to this day (turned once just recently with 2nd brake job)...with 99,3xx miles on the clock right now.

Warping does not mean the rotor surface is warped. It really means pad material transfer. The "warp" is the feeling in your foot.

Well warped or not warped there was something wrong with those rotors. The car would pulse to a stop and there was awful wheel vibration above 65 mph. So whether that cracking is ok or not I did not feel safe with them on the car due to the way they felt under load.
