I looked for the Hankook k112 on tirerack, discounttiredirect & discounttire & could only find the k110....any other suggestions on where to find these???
I'm not sure if there's a difference or if the K112 exists. It might have been a misprint on the post. Hankook's own site set up for the Ventus V12 says K110 in the title tab. I couldn't find any info on a k112 at their website.

I think this is what he's talking about it's also known as the Hankook Ventus R-S2.

Z212
• V, W & Y-Rated
• U.T.Q.G. 200/AA/A *200/A/A
• 30/35/40/45/50/55/60 Series
• Diagonal Serrated Band
• Serrated Black Letters

The Ventus R-S2 Z212 was created from the successful Ventus RSS Z211
racing design, brought to the street with improved road contact surface area
for dry traction and a tread design featuring exceptional water dispersion for
wet conditions. The result is a street tire delivering maximum grip with the
proven Ventus Ultra-High Performance tread compound.

Stay away from the Nitto 555. I had them on my other car and when they start to wear they are crazy loud and transfer a ton of vibration into the car.

I am running the Yokohama S-drives. They are holding up really well and are pretty quiet.

Sorry that was a miss type, the correct name of the tire is the Hankook Ventus v12 evo k110... I got mine at discount tire, and had them mount and balance.

My buddy has s-drives on his mr2 turbo (making 220 wheel) and he hates them, but thats just one opinion.

One thing to take into acount with sumitomo is that they are actually the parent company of falken(from what i understand) and hold joint stock with dunlop. the HTR Z iii from what i've reasearched is just a cheaper ziex-912.

OTHER. Not a fan of either on your list.

Dunlop Z1 Star Spec's are really good - might be too much of a performance tire for you though. And I have no idea how long they'll last. They come with 11/32" I believe.

They're good in the dry, in the wet and are really reasonably priced. Check out tirerack's comparo...

Voted before I saw your treadwear requirement... Mah bad. Nexxen N3000s that I had on the Porsche were super ****ty tires, but lasted forever and had semi-decent summer traction (think all-seasons in the summer) Treadwear was like 360 or something crazy like that.

My vote goes for the BFG g-force sports!
I've gone through two sets of these tires and love them, they last really long and handle pretty well. These have been a great set for my DD and I get around 40k miles out of them, would have got more out of them but I got a few nails last time.

I couldn't disagree more!

Those tires are HORRID. I've driven on NTO5's, star specs, RE11's, and plenty of rcomps.

They (g force sports) handle like complete POOP! My hankook winter tires feel better than those G force sports.

Please, if you are looking for a tire that gets you mileage, get them. But you bought an evo. Tires will make or break how this car handles. Do not buy those tires if you care even a little bit about the handling/feel/etc....

I do, they're a very good performance street tire and even do quite well in autocross. I'm on my 2nd set now and couldn't be happier with them.

They handle just fine for me, I guess it's because of my location and always on dry land I hit the canyons every sunday and these tires are just fine for me.......

I don't even have any autox events on them. You are right about the price though, I picked mine up for around $600 with sales tax...
Not sure how... maybe it was the religious alignments/rotations. Guess I got lucky.

These, right?

I'm referring to just driving these on dry pavement as well. They sucked, IMO.

If you think they are good by any means, you haven't driven on any good tires then yet. What have you used for tires in the past that you can compare them with?

You are really missing out on one of the best attributes for the evo with those tires. The handling.

Star Spec's have too low of a tread wear for what I'm looking for right now...I lowest I want to go is 300 maybe 280 at the lowest...thanks for the advice though...
