Stay away from the Nitto 555. I had them on my other car and when they start to wear they are crazy loud and transfer a ton of vibration into the car.
I am running the Yokohama S-drives. They are holding up really well and are pretty quiet.

My buddy has s-drives on his mr2 turbo (making 220 wheel) and he hates them, but thats just one opinion.
One thing to take into acount with sumitomo is that they are actually the parent company of falken(from what i understand) and hold joint stock with dunlop. the HTR Z iii from what i've reasearched is just a cheaper ziex-912.

Dunlop Z1 Star Spec's are really good - might be too much of a performance tire for you though. And I have no idea how long they'll last. They come with 11/32" I believe.
They're good in the dry, in the wet and are really reasonably priced. Check out tirerack's comparo...

Voted before I saw your treadwear requirement... Mah bad. Nexxen N3000s that I had on the Porsche were super ****ty tires, but lasted forever and had semi-decent summer traction (think all-seasons in the summer) Treadwear was like 360 or something crazy like that.
My vote goes for the BFG g-force sports!
I've gone through two sets of these tires and love them, they last really long and handle pretty well. These have been a great set for my DD and I get around 40k miles out of them, would have got more out of them but I got a few nails last time.

Those tires are HORRID. I've driven on NTO5's, star specs, RE11's, and plenty of rcomps.
They (g force sports) handle like complete POOP! My hankook winter tires feel better than those G force sports.

Please, if you are looking for a tire that gets you mileage, get them. But you bought an evo. Tires will make or break how this car handles. Do not buy those tires if you care even a little bit about the handling/feel/etc....
I couldn't disagree more!

They handle just fine for me, I guess it's because of my location and always on dry land
I hit the canyons every sunday and these tires are just fine for me.......
32k out of rt615s???? How the hell did you do that? I have them on my car now & i only have 14k miles on them & ill be lucky to get another 2k out of them, I will def. not buy them again. I don't even have any autox events on them. You are right about the price though, I picked mine up for around $600 with sales tax...

These, right?
I'm referring to just driving these on dry pavement as well. They sucked, IMO.
If you think they are good by any means, you haven't driven on any good tires then yet. What have you used for tires in the past that you can compare them with?
You are really missing out on one of the best attributes for the evo with those tires. The handling.
