its amazing how cheap evo owners are.......

those are mitsu lug locks BTW.. just go to mitsu.. if you use the socket method you risk bangin up your rims..
When you have a flat tire and need to get that b!tch off right away cause its your DD you dont have time for to order it. Stock rims are suppost to get wear and tear. That is not going cheap its adapting and over coming.

So I tackled this tonight.

I got a 3/4" socket and hammered it onto the lug nut. I didn't do it all the way, just enough until it was snug. Put a half inch breaker bar on it and cranked. Got all 4 off this way. Each time I had to hammer the socket on a little more because it was stretching out the socket. It was kinda hard to get out the lug nut from the socket but here is how I did it.

I just put the socket open end down in a vice and tightened it around the socket then put a 3/8ths drive extension in the top of the socket and hammered the lug nut out of it. It worked well.

If you can't find your lug nut key then do it the way I did and you'll be golden. Funny after it all I found the lug key in the trunk

OP - dont have the time to read on what other people had said.

anyway, this happened to me. before you smash anything up, go to the mitsu dealer. they have a master key that works 98 percent of the time to lock lug nuts. thats if the ones you have are oem. GL.

PS they didnt charge me anything to unlock it and swap the non lock lug nuts.
