Need help identifying spring rates

Just purchased some used coilovers that came with two sets of Hyperco springs. Problem is, I can't locate the rates anywhere on the springs. THe only thing I found is the sticker that says Hyperco on it, nothing else. Can anyone help? Is there a way to do a home test on the rates?

Find the part number and the height of the spring and match it up with what they have on their website...The last 4 digits of the part number signifies the spring rate.

Well, I know its a 2.5 inch I.D, and 8 inch standing height, from my measurements. The rate is what kills me, and Hyperco makes a ton. I can't seem to locate the model number anywhere. Anyne know a specific location which they are usually printed?

Try calling Hyperco if the PN isn't marked on the spring. They should be able to tell you what it is based on the number of coils and wire diameter.

I googled a bit and saw some people mentioning the rate being etched on the bottom of the spring. I'm going to clean it and check it tomorrow. Anyone else have ideas, please chime in.

rate is etched on the bottom (or top) of the spring.
