KW V3 Settings
Need help setting up my KW V3s.
i dont know what spring rates are but here are some numbers i pulled off the KWs
the front springs say KW 80-170 GBSA the struts say 650 1004
the rear spring say KW 90-170 GAKB the struts say 650 1101
can anyone help me figure out what that means...and how should i set up my bound and rebound? my car is corner balanced and it weighs 3100 lbs.

first close them and then make adjustment from fully closed ie; the "max" or stiffest setting then dial them back to the position desired.
So we would say on rebound 1 and 3/4 turn from closed.
Now we will move past that, and as mentioned above there is a lack of info on spring rates and such.
Answer these questions and we can go from there.
What spring rates?
Are they tuned in any way?
What do you plan on doing with them? (AX vs. road racing)
When you say track what type?
There will be different settings for all of the above.
There are also alot of threads in both the motorsport and this very sub-forum that go over V3s thoroughly.
Good Luck!

Go try out settings go see what you like, every car is different just like your mods. No one knows what other suspension mods you have tires ride height alignment, all of it matters.

but a good starting point on bound and rebound would be nice....also being able to know what my spring rates are would be nice too.
like do i want bound to be heavy and rebound light? visa versa? or want them even? i just want to know what other people are running just to get an idea of where i want to try to be....

Going off the numbers you stated on the springs, you have 8kg/mm front springs and 9kg/mm rear springs.
Hope this helps!
Edit: What are you using your car for? Autox? Street? Drag? I can post up the Koni shock adjustment how-to procedure if you want.
