Need Tire Recommendation

OK, I have tried to research this, but I need some advice.

I need to replace my daily driving tires.

(btw: I have a set of Nitto 555 DR's for the strip on a 2nd set of wheels, and I'm not looking to track the car otherwise ...yet)

I want a grippy tire for street and moutain road (paved) use.

Hoping to come in at about 125 to 150 a tire. I have around 475 - 500whp and hoping to get something that will not sit and spin.

Safe on Spring and Summer wet roads a must (just driving to and from a destination) , as well as cold dry pavement safety (30 deg F). Won't be trying to get cute under those conditions, but need to be able to get home etc...

I'm tired (no pun) of looking. almost went with a set of Hankook Ventus V12 EVO , but grew concerned over tread life and it being a "summer" tire by definition.

Thanks for any "informed" input.

Sounds like your leaning toward a sport a/s tire. In that case, I would look at the Conti DWS. As for a summer tire I'd check out the B-Stone 760 or Yoko S-Drive. They really should not be driven in temps consistently below 40 deg though.

I just swapped out my old Kumho Ecstas for some Falken Ziex 912s and love them. They are fantastic in the rain and I have NO problem biting up w/my AWD...my car does weigh a bit more than yours but I love them, ESPECIALLY for the price. I'm not sure what dimensions you guys run but here is a link to mine.

...and if you hit up discounttiredirect.com they will beat that price

I am pleased with KDW2's and Toyo T1R's. Might give them a try.

It sounds to me like your looking for an A/S tire. I would suggest the Michelin Pilot Sport A/S if you want the best over all performer. I think there's a used set of sale in the F/S section if your looking to save a few $$$. g/l
