brake pad question

brake pad question

im confused , i've changed pads today , pads that i fitted were from CP9A old evo VI , dealer said that 04+ pads will not fit my brakes ,pads are from europe ATE , EDM EVO8-s have different brakes or what? i dont understand

this is 99-03 EVO6/7 pads which i've installed



and this is 04+ EVO8 pads by their catalog

What model evo do you have? There's no way dealers should have anything other than CT9A pads

As far as I know, all 03-06 have the same pads! Did you compare the new pads to the old ones back to back?

yes , they are exactly the same , but their catalog tells us its CP9A old evo pads , new ones are different as u can see on second picture , where can i see how stock pads are looking like?

the bottom pads are for a Galant or Outlander.

Pads on the lower picture are for RS version with special gravel brake system (smaller rotors and all other stuff to be fitted with 15 inch rims). Pads for EvoVI are the same as for EvoIX - I've received OEM Brembos for EvoVI when ordered those for my 2006 EvoIX and those were fitted with zero problems.
