winter and advan

In Tennssee, lotsa cold with little snow.
The evo will sit home in the snow, but what about traction
[stock evo, 3k on tires] at 25F degrees?
Equivalent to a 180/70 michelinX at same temp?

So far, our weather has been over 40F, but what have you
experienced up north while cold and clear weather evo/advan driving?

thx

I definitely notice less traction when it's cold, that compound just turns rock hard below 40F.. I bought ContiExtremeContacts to survive the winter here.

you will NOT want to run the Advans in freezing temps...

This topic has been covered many times. Bottom line, if you see temps consistantly below 40 deg in the winter, do not run the Advans. At a minimum, go with an all season based tire. A great alternative would be the Conti Extreme Contact.
