measuring for proper spacer
measuring for proper spacer
whats a proper way to measure to see how big of a spacer that you need...reason asking is i just got my widebody done and rims just came in 18x10+25 offset..thought would fit fine but front hits the caliper due to design for the wheel..look like i need probably 25mm spacers.. i dont want to guess and order something thats too small or too big..i measured about 25mm with ruler but maybe there is more of a accurate way of doing it??......

by the way..anyone knows any good place to get a set of spacers? i dont really need the one with studs built in since i already got arp extended studs so might as well make use of it

OP : Ask Neal at tire rack. He has an offset calculator and a plethora of (pinatas) knowledge.

I'd go to a hardware store and pick up a handful of large washers (holes large enough to fit over the studs) and stack them on three of the studs as thick as you need until the wheels clear the calipers then just measure the stack of washers. It's pretty simple but it should give you a good idea of the size spacer you need.
thanks!^^ i figured out that 25mm fits perfectly........anyone knows any local chicago store might carry them in stock? i been calling around and no one seem to have it...
