Spring binding?

Ok, so I got my coilovers all even, but now whenI start the car and turn the wheel it sounds like the spring is binding. I tried decompressing the spring and sparaying wd40 on it but it still seems to be making that sound. Any suggestions on how to get it to stop?

Put in spring/strut combo

Is there preload on the spring?

well the spring was snug, not compressed though, then I made it so that there was about 1/16" of play in it when it was not sitting on the ground.
