my drivers side front strut is making a clanking noise when i turn my wheel upon further inspection i noticed it was the two lock nuts that put pressure on the coil is twisting against the coil i have megan performance suspension and have tried greasing it but the noise comes back could it be the plastic washer thats worn i have no idea please help

 

Spring binding due to incorrect preload.

Correct preload or get rid of them. That are not that great of a coilover.
