Caliper stain

Caliper stain

noticed that one of the rear calipers were stained...
Any recommendations on removing this or should i start thinking about re powdercoading?

If you need pics lmk. I will post em.

Start simple and try getting a clay bar on there and see where that takes you.


Powder coating is the way to go though.

dont need to powdercoat......worst case scenario just paint them with high temp paint, there are plenty of threads on evom about that. from what i have researched, people are skeptical about disassembling the caliper and reassembling them for the powdercoat process, not to mention a longer down time without your car. i would just look into what color you want them, and repaint them, buy brembo decals if wanted and call it a day.

Paint will simply not last in the long run.

Just hit it with some wet sandpaper and hit it with some clear. You should be good to go. They look like they are in pretty good shape otherwise.

you may not even need something as relatively harsh as wetsand. try claybaring it first, it looks like some tar-like residue on the clearcoat only.
